Making parenting practical, not perfect

We believe every parent deserves access to expert guidance that actually works in real life - not just in theory. That's why we're creating a comprehensive platform filled with actionable strategies, resources for specific developmental stages, and the support you need to raise confident kids while staying sane.

We know that modern parents are juggling more than ever before—work, relationships, household responsibilities, and the constant pressure to "get it right." That's why we focus on what actually works in everyday moments: the morning rush, the bedtime battles, the sibling conflicts, and everything in between. Our approach is rooted in respect, backed by understanding, and designed for the beautiful messiness of real parenting.

About Us
Our fundamental principles

Everything we create at Practical Parenting is built on five core principles that guide our content, courses, and community:

Making advice practical to follow
We believe parenting guidance should fit seamlessly into your daily life, not add to your to-do list. Every strategy we share is designed to be realistic, actionable, and adaptable to your unique family situation. No perfect playrooms required, no elaborate systems needed—just practical tools you can use today.

Empowering both parents and children
True parenting success means everyone in the family feels capable and confident. We focus on strategies that build your skills as a parent while nurturing your child's independence, resilience, and self-belief. When both parents and children feel empowered, the entire family dynamic strengthens.

Making information simple to understand
Parenting shouldn't require a PhD to figure out. We translate complex developmental science, psychological research, and educational theory into clear, digestible guidance that makes sense in real-world situations. No jargon, no overwhelm—just straightforward information you can actually use.

Being respectful to all
Every family is different, and there's no single "right" way to parent. We honor diverse parenting styles, family structures, cultural backgrounds, and values. Our guidance respects both the parent's needs and the child's dignity, creating approaches that work with your family's unique rhythm, not against it.

Seeing the child as a whole
Children aren't problems to be fixed or behaviors to be managed—they're complete human beings with emotions, needs, perspectives, and potential. We approach every challenge by considering the whole child: their developmental stage, emotional state, individual temperament, and unique strengths. This holistic perspective leads to solutions that truly serve your child's growth.

Founder
Introducing the driving force behind Practical Parenting
Natacha Latouf
Founder, play therapist, mom

Natacha Latouf founded Practical Parenting from a deeply personal place, the recognition that parents need more than theories—they need tools they can actually use in their daily family life.
With a background that combines a BA ,Degree in Social Work,  with a Masters in Play Therapy. Training: in EMDR; Polyvagal Theory; CRM- Community Resiliency Model and many more Play Therapy techniques.

With 26 years of experience working with families/children, Natacha has witnessed first-hand what works in the trenches of real parenting. But more importantly, she understands the parent and is in tune with the child. Sometimes complicated systems, rigid rules, and advice that looks perfect on paper may crumble under the pressure of a Tuesday afternoon meltdown.
She created this platform as a way for her to reach out to as many parents as possible.

Natacha's approach is refreshingly honest and wonderfully practical. She knows that you're doing your best with the resources, energy, and time you have. Her mission is simple, to give you better tools so that "your best" keeps getting better—not through perfection, but through small, sustainable changes that make a real difference in how your family feels and functions.

When she's not creating content, developing courses, or writing, Natacha is walking through town, exploring and admiring the beauty in the world or sitting in the park watching people walk their dogs, love being with kids and just being there for them or entertaining them or reading them stories. Otherwise watching a movie on TV with her husband and daughter on a Friday or Saturday night sitting on her big blue comfy beanbag.

Her wish is to grow the Practical Parenting community and help find new ways to make family life a little easier and a lot more joyful.
