Indoor/outdoor activities, educational play, creativity, boredom busters
Christmas is a time of joy, love, kindness, and family togetherness. But in some cases, this is not possible, such as parents who are divorced and have to share the children over the Christmas holidays.
Googling the meaning of Creativity: "is the act of turning new and imaginative ideas into reality. Creativity is characterised by the ability to perceive the world in new ways, to find hidden patterns, to make connections between seemingly unrelated phenomena, and to generate solutions" (this really describes exactly the way I'm thinking of creativity, so nicely put).
As a parent and parenting therapist, I have seen firsthand how challenging it can be to instil respect in our children. Over my years of working with families, I've collected these activities that not only teach respect but make the learning process enjoyable for everyone involved. I believe that respect isn't just taught—it's caught through daily interactions and intentional moments together. These activities have helped countless families in my practice, and I'm excited to share them with you today. Remember, the goal isn't perfection but progress as we guide our children toward becoming respectful individuals.
